Moving Day Schedule
9:30 A.M. – Registration, Refreshment Tent, Kid’s Area, and Movement Pavilion open
10:15 A.M. – Welcome and Warm-Up for Walk
10:30 A.M. – Opening Ceremony and Walk Begins (Ribbon Cutting at Balloon Arch)
12:00 P.M. – Closing Ceremony, Top Team Award Presentation
12:30 P.M. – Close

The Moving Day Rhode Island walk course is a 2.75 mile walk through the beautiful Roger Williams Park. The route passes through Carousel Village, the Temple of Music, and the Botanical Center. With a few rolling hills, the course returns past the Darlymple Boathouse to the finish line. There is an out an back course, which is shorter – about a mile course offered as well. Follow the Moving Day signage throughout the route and look for volunteers cheering you on!

9:45 A.M. – Yoga
10:30 A.M. – Tai Chi “To Go” With Vince
10:45 A.M. – Chair Yoga with Heron Study
11:00 A.M. – Dance for PD

Our Location
Moving Day Rhode Island will take place in the Roger Williams Park. The event is located next to the Darlymple Boat house and across from the Carousel Village. Upon entering the park, follow signage for Carousel Village to arrive at event site. Check out the Roger Williams Park map to see where Carousel Village and the Boathouse are located.

Moving Day will take place rain or shine. If cancellation of the event is warranted due to dangerous weather conditions, announcements will be made on the event day at the event site. The event will not be canceled in advance. All decisions regarding cancellation will be made on site.

Fun Extras for Kids
With our event location so close to Carousel Village – feel free to finish your Moving Day by checking out the Carousel, enjoying a Pony Ride, or even bouncing for PD (in the bouncy castle). If you’re interested in learning more about Carousel Village – check out their page here.

Parking Options
Parking at Carousel Village will be available to the public – with ADA spots reserved closed to the site. Parking in Roger Williams Park is available along the side of the road and is free for all attendees. Please consider carpooling with teammates!
