For my friends and family who might not be aware, this past January I was diagnosed with parkinson disease. I have had great support from family and friends far and near. I appriciate all the prayers and concerns that everyone had shared. Also, for those whom might not know both my mother and motherin-law had parkinson before they died. Needless to say fighting Parkinson’ s disease has become very important to me and my family. A couple of months ago my sister organized a family fundraiser for parkinsons. My brothers and sisters along with myself and all are spouses decided to participate in Moving Day / Atlanta. We will be coming from Indiana, Texas and Ohio to join my sister in Atlanta for the weekend.
Moving Day® Atlanta , benefits the National Parkinson Foundation, and takes place on Saturday, October 21, 2017. The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of our team or sponsoring me because together we can fight Parkinson Disease!
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
