The Parkinson’s Foundation makes life better for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) by improving care and advancing research toward a cure. Funds raised through Moving Day make the Parkinson’s Foundation able to:

• Deliver quality care to more than 196,700 people living with Parkinson’s.
• Fund cutting-edge research to improve treatments and advance toward a cure.
• Provide free resources for people living with Parkinson’s and their families.

Community Impact

We are committed to helping the one million people in the U.S. live better with Parkinson’s. What does my donation help support?

	Centers of Excellence. Chicago is home to several Centers of Excellence, Parkinson’s Foundation designated medical centers with a specialized team, with a movement disorder specialist, that provides the best PD care.
	Community Grants. Every year, we invest in local PD-tailored wellness, exercise and education programs created for our community. Find your nearest community program that received Foundation funding now.
	Parkinson.org/Search. Find your nearest local resources with our search feature. While you’re there, check out our Parkinson.org/Library.
	Helpline. Call 1-800-4PD-INFO (473-4636) to find your nearest PD specialist, support group, wellness and exercise classes, and get answers to your PD and caregiving questions. Our Helpline answers more than 20,000 calls a year from all over the nation!
	Genetics Research. Our Genetics Initiative is the first-of-its kind national initiative to offer genetic testing and genetic counseling. Over the next few years, we will introduce new testing sites across the nation.
	Podcast. Every other week we release a podcast that covers the latest treatments and interviews, featuring PD specialists from all over the nation. Listen now.
	Chapters. Across the nation we have local field offices who host a myriad of events and provide local resources.
	Aware in Care. Designed to protect, prepare and empower people with Parkinson’s before, during and after a hospital visit, order your free kit today. We ship the kits to all 50 states!
