I am participating in Moving Day® Chicago, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation, on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Lincoln Park, South Fields.
I am walking for my grandpa. I am walking because he and so many others barely can anymore. I am walking because I don’t believe a disease should have the power to take a person’s quality of life away from them. I am walking because I would not wish PD or watching a loved one go through the phases of PD on anyone. I am walking because I believe people have the power to come together on things that matter and FIGHT back. I am walking because I love my grandpa, and he’s stronger than PD.
Please consider donating any amount you can … if every face book friend donated $1, the over $900 towards a world with no PD.
Why Move for Moving Day?
Did you know that someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease every 9 minutes in the United States? No one should have to face Parkinson’s alone. That is why the National Parkinson Foundation provides a community of support to give people the resources and help they need to live well with Parkinson’s.
Support our mission to help every person diagnosed with Parkinson’s live their best possible life now. Your gift will help us fund better research, better treatment and better lives.
