Mary Jo is the kindest, loving and most compassionate woman you will ever know. She has touched the lives of so many and is loved by them all. The past five years have presented a new challenge in her life as she has been diagnosed with this overwhelming condition. However, this has not slowed my sister down. She continues to work, volunteer at the shelter, care for our nieces and nephews and tend to her award winning garden. Being the person she is, her strength has not diminished but some days are a struggle. Mar is fortunate though, as she has a great support system and is loved by so many, however, there are many that are not so lucky. We invite all our friends and family to join us in a celebration of the Magic of my sister Mary Jo. All of the details are shown below, and if you plan on attending, we have shirts made for our Team “The Magic of Mar Mar.” Please just let me know the size you require and as we get closer to the event we will get all the logistics worked out. Please save this date and join us on this very special day of celebration of family and friends.
We are participating in Moving Day® Chicago, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation, on Sunday, October 15, 2017, at Lincoln Park, South Fields. The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of our team or sponsoring us, and we encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
