My family and I are participating in Moving Day® Miami , benefiting the Parkinson’s Foundation, on Sunday, November 12, 2017.
I was diagnosed almost 22 years ago with Parkinson’s Disease at the age of 55.
Since that time, I have also undergone Renal cancer . I had my left kidney removed in 2009 and each of the following 2 years, I also had parts of my lower left lung removed due to the same cancer cells.
My family and I believe that, had it not been for the continued research and advent of new Parkinson’s medications, I would not have lasted this long.
Thus, we feel that it is extremely important to participate in this fundraiser so that there might finally be a cure for this dreaded disease.
The event, taking place at Museum Park, will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and we encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal to support the vital work of the Parkinson’s Foundation.
