My mother is a rock star. There’s nothing she can’t do, even with Parkinson’s. She paints. She sings. She cooks. She travels. She takes care of her family and she does it all while battling a debilitating disease. Some days are better than others for her. Some days she tires quickly and her arms are too weak to hold the phone or her voice is too weak to talk long. Some days she is fine and can do anything she wants without too much help. But every day with my mom is a gift. Every day that I get to help her manage her Parkinson’s is just another day that I get to see what a badass my mom is inside and out. I hope you’ll join me in this effort to raise money and awareness for Parkinson’s research. And I hope you’re one of the lucky ones who knows my mom. She’s my best friend.
