I am once again participating in Moving Day®, benefiting the Parkinson’s Foundation, on Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Evergreen Valley College in San Jose. This will be my second time participating in San Jose for this event and I am trusting that the route is better marked than last time when Kona and I walked 5 miles for the 3 mile walk!
The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities, although I am not sure it can top the entertainment we have had in San Francisco the last two years! We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance(to Uptown Funk!), Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Last year I was honored to be asked to participate on the committee that made decisions on where the funds raised on Moving Day would be allocated in the San Francisco Bay area. The options were very interesting and it made choosing the best ones quite difficult. But I always kept in mind the things that would have been beneficial to my Dad as his Parkinson’s progressed and that made choosing a bit easier.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the Parkinson’s Foundation.
