Moving Day New Jersey will feature an “Ask the Expert” table

Dr. Pal, a board-certified neurologist and movement disorders specialist is a faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. His research interests include deep brain stimulation, Parkinson’s disease genetics, and studying the role of the gut microbiome in Parkinson’s disease. He has served as principal investigator for multicenter studies funded by the Michael J. Fox Foundation and the Parkinson Study Group (PSG) and has conducted investigator initiated research regarding GBA mutations in Parkinson disease. He has received multiple philanthropic awards for his research and most recently received funding from the NIH in the form of a K-award.

Dr. Markos provides patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings at JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute with a focus on cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, Parkinson’s Disease and spasticity. He earned his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and completed his internal medicine Internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center before completing his PM&R residency at the JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute, where he served as an Academic Chief Resident.

Moving Day has raised $50.2 million and brought more than 202,000 participants together.
