Moving Day is an annual community event that unites people across the country in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. It’s not just a walk—it’s a celebration of movement with activities for people of all ages and abilities. From a family-friendly walk to exercise demonstrations like yoga, dance and boxing, all proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms, there’s something for everyone. Registered participants who raise $100 or more will receive a Moving Day T-shirt at their event. Donors who give $100 or more do not qualify unless they are also registered and have raised $100 on their own fundraising page. Companies can participate by forming a team, volunteering or sponsoring a local Moving Day event. Each event has unique sponsorship opportunities. Yes, all participants must sign a standard waiver during the official registration process. While we highly encourage online registration before the event, on-site registration will also be available on event day. Register here today! There is no registration fee to participate in Moving Day, but we encourage every participant to raise funds to support the fight against Parkinson’s disease. To register online for a Moving Day event, visit MovingDayWalk.org/events and find your event by entering your zip code or state. Then, select ‘Register’ next to your chosen event. Returning participants will be prompted to log in with their existing credentials to expedite the process. Forgot your username or password? Request it here. New participants will be asked to choose from three participation options: Join a Team, Start a Team or Register as an Individual. Select your option and complete the registration process. Find your local event at MovingDayWalk.org/events and click “Register.” If you’re a new participant, select “Start a Team,” and you’ll automatically become the Team Captain. Then, invite friends, family and coworkers to join your team. Start by logging into your Participant Center to personalize your fundraising page and share why you’re joining the fight against Parkinson’s. Then, reach out via email, text or social media to encourage donations. For easy access to fundraising tools, download the Fundraise for Parkinson’s app. Donations for Moving Day can be made online with a credit card or by check made out to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Checks can be deposited instantly using the Fundraise for Parkinson’s mobile app. You can also mail donations along with the printable donation form available on your personal fundraising page to the address listed on the form. Your Participant Center is your personal fundraising hub, providing tools to help you reach your goal. Log in to explore resources, watch the Participant Center Video Tour or use the Fundraise for Parkinson’s app for easy access on the go. Download the Fundraise for Parkinson’s app from your Participant Center (on a mobile device) or find it in the Apple Store or Google Play by searching “Fundraise for Parkinson’s. All donations received through Facebook will be credited to your fundraising page and count toward your Moving Day goal.
