Stop by the “Real Talk: Living with Parkinson’s” table and connect with Leslie Zimmerman. Learn about her journey and exchange stories in a supportive conversation. Leslie is a wife, mother, and grandmother who spent her career as a registered nurse in a hospital setting. Two years ago, at age 48, she was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease, inspiring her to become actively involved in the Parkinson’s community. She began volunteering to both learn more about the disease and support others, building meaningful connections along the way.

Leslie now serves as a Parkinson’s Foundation Ambassador and has participated in advocacy efforts, including PA Lobby Day in support of House Bill 1135 to ban Paraquat, as well as serving as a Local Community Grant Reviewer for the 2026 grant cycle.

Moving Day has raised $55.9 million and brought more than 218,000 participants together.
