SYNERGY HomeCare of Ellicott City is proud to partner with the Parkinson’s Foundation and participate in Moving Day while helping families connect with valuable resources and support services. One important resource we are currently helping families learn more about is the GUIDE program, which may provide eligible individuals with dementia and Medicare access to free respite care and additional supportive services for caregivers and families.
In addition to connecting families with community resources, SYNERGY HomeCare specializes in compassionate, personalized Parkinson’s care. Our caregivers receive training focused on the unique physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges associated with Parkinson’s disease, allowing us to tailor care plans to each client’s individual needs and goals.
The team led by Dr. Shah, Doctor of Physical Therapy and Dr. Sine, Doctor of Nursing Practice believes care should support living well with Parkinson’s. Care plans include exercise routines, brain health activities, transportation and accompaniment to programs like Rock Steady Boxing, support groups, therapy appointments, and meaningful community engagement. Our goal is to help clients remain active, connected, independent, and supported throughout their journey.
We are also happy to support the community through our weekly informational newsletter and educational outreach, including guest speaking, roundtable discussions with community experts, and wellness workshops on topics such as Parkinson’s care, caregiver support, brain health, and healthy aging.
