Our Location

Moving Day® Boston will take place along the iconic Charles River, starting at Artesani Park, on the other side of Harvard Square.  The walk itself takes participants on a tour of the river, from the start line, it’s .5 miles on the Dr. Paul Dudley White Bike Path until Eliot Bridge. Participants walking the 1-mile route can turn around before the bridge and walk back to the finish line. Participants on the 5k route continue over the bridge, then take a left to continue along the recently renovated bike path next to Greenough Blvd until the Arsenal Bridge. At the bridge, cross the river again to finish the final mile back to Artesani Park (the total route is about 2.85 miles).

The Moving Day® Event will take place rain or shine. If cancellation of the event is warranted due to dangerous weather conditions, announcements will be made on the event day at the event site. The event will not be canceled in advance. All decisions regarding cancellation will be made on site.

Course

Check out the 2017 Route here.

The Moving Day® Boston walk course is a 2.85 mile walk along the beautiful Charles River. Enjoy views of the river, boathouses, and Harvard Square. A shorter, mile course will be offered as well. Follow the Moving Day signage throughout the route, and look for volunteers cheering you on!

New in 2017

Moving Day® Boston is excited to be adding more food options for our 2017 event. This year, the food truck, Roadie’s Diner will be on site all day with meals available for purchase (any team that raises $2,500 will win 4 meals as well). Along with Roadie’s Diner, The 2017 event will feature the BikeBus, Service Dogs from the Service Dog Project based in Ipswich, MA, and a pumpkin patch for pre-Halloween fun.
