We’re excited to announce our Moving Day Piedmont Triad (formerly Winston-Salem) Kickoff event on March 29, 2025, at Woodland Hall – Triad Park!
REGISTER HERE for the kickoff – registration is required for all who are attending.
Join us as we rally our community and build excitement for Moving Day; attendees will hear from Christina Soriano, Professor of Dance at Wake Forest University, and the founder of the IMPROVment initiative.
IMPROVment® is an integrative method that emphasizes physical and mental fitness by encouraging our participants to create their own movement in response to multiple auditory prompts. At the core of this practice is the liberating idea that an infinite number of movement ideas can emerge from a single cue. There are no “wrong” movement choices. Class participants take chances in an atmosphere free from judgment or preconceived notions of what dance should look like.
A panel of those living with Parkinson’s and their loved ones will highlight the importance of community, how Moving Day has served their family, and more!
All members of the Parkinson’s community are invited and we encourage new faces to join us; if you have any questions or would like more information on the kickoff, please contact Morgan Gilbert at mgilbert@parkinson.org or 904-506-4228.
