Finding Your Voice with Dr. Stephanie Adrian

Dr. Stephanie Adrian, a licensed speech-language pathologist and owner of Trio Voice & Speech Consulting, has built a career at the intersection of art and science. Specializing in voice, upper airway, and swallowing disorders, she brings both clinical expertise and a performer’s perspective to her work. She holds certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is an LSVT-certified clinician, helping individuals with Parkinson’s disease overcome communication challenges related to speech and voice.

Raised in the Midwest, Dr. Adrian’s love for opera began at age 11 when she sang in the children’s chorus for Puccini’s Tosca. She later earned a doctoral degree in vocal performance at The Ohio State University and went on to enjoy a distinguished career as a professional singer, university professor, and opera critic. Her research on the singing voice has been cited in The Washington Post and in Wendy LeBorgne’s book The Singing Athlete.

Driven by her passion to better understand and rehabilitate the voice, Dr. Adrian pursued a second career in speech-language pathology, completing her clinical training at Northside Hospital in Atlanta. Through Trio Voice & Speech Consulting, she empowers individuals of all ages with the tools and knowledge to optimize their vocal health and speaking abilities.

Dr. Adrian will be joining Moving Day Atlanta to lead a live demonstration, giving participants the opportunity to experience strategies that support stronger, healthier voices for those living with Parkinson’s.
