What is Moving Day?

Moving Day, A Walk for Parkinson’s, is more than just a walk. It is a fun and inspiring event that raises awareness and funds while uniting families, friends and communities in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. Each event features our unique Movement Pavilion, with yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, dance and other activities proven to help manage Parkinson’s symptoms. Funds raised through Moving Day support the Parkinson’s Foundation national mission by delivering expert care to more than 100,000 people living with Parkinson’s; funding cutting-edge research aimed at better treatment and care; and providing free resources for people living with Parkinson’s and their families.

We are excited to be hosting Jacksonville’s first Moving Day charity walk at the University of North Florida on Saturday, November 10, 2018. Check out our latest promotional video and join us this Fall for an amazing event that provides hope and critical funds for people with Parkinson’s, their families, and their friends.

Moving Day has raised nearly $45 million and brought more than 186,000 participants together.
