Meet Our Leadership Team:
Debra Flynn – Event Chair
A Chicago native and Loyola University alum, Debra retired to Stuart, FL, after her Parkinson’s diagnosis in 2015. She had a distinguished career in HR consulting, retiring as a Partner at Mercer Benefits Consulting. Passionate about community service, she is actively involved with Rock Steady Boxing and Parkinson’s advocacy, including clinical trial participation.
Tara Woodman – Program & Logistics Chair
Originally from Boston, Tara moved to Stuart in 2015. She worked as a management professional for publishing and technology companies, including 20 years at IBM. With expertise in project management and program development, she has also dedicated her time to criminal investigations, veteran support, and Parkinson’s awareness.
Teams Committee:
Melissa Morante
As Chief Marketing Officer at ComForCare Senior Services, Melissa leads Parkinson’s training for caregivers and facilitates eight monthly support groups. A Parkinson’s Foundation Ambassador and certified senior fitness instructor, she is committed to health and wellness advocacy.
Dr. George Ackerman
A lawyer, educator, and advocate, George founded TogetherForSharon® to honor his mother and raise Parkinson’s awareness nationwide. He actively engages in community outreach, sharing stories from caregivers, warriors, and organizations.
Brooke Havrilla
A Safety and Wellness expert with a background in emergency medicine, Brooke is a Parkinson’s Foundation Ambassador and Community Outreach Chair for the Partnership for Aging in Palm Beach. As a caregiver for multiple family members with Parkinson’s, she is deeply committed to education and support.
