The Parkinson’s Foundation is proud to announce Debra Flynn as the Committee Chair for Moving Day Palm Beach. Debra is a Chicagoan, having grown up in the big city and is an alumnus of Loyola University. Debra and her husband Jim, of 33 beautiful years, retired to Stuart Florida in 2017, shortly after Debra was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2015. Prior to retiring, Debra spent most of her professional career in Human Resources Consulting and retired as a Partner of Mercer Benefits Consulting, an operating company of Marsh McLennan & Co. Her professional journey also boasts several senior level leadership positions within the Human Resources space as well as being a member of the Board of Directors for a large non-profit organization in Chicago, devoted to helping homeless woman find a new purpose. Since retiring, Debra’s passions range from attending live music concerts to reading and attending the theater. She also enjoys boxing, spin classes and hiking. Debra is devoted to Rock Steady Boxing and finds great joy in community service, especially her significant involvement with the Parkinson’s Foundation. Debra also spends her time participating in and advocating for participation in clinical trials aimed at finding a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.
Moving Day has raised nearly $45 million and brought more than 186,000 participants together.
