What to Expect at Moving Day
Get ready for an inspiring and unforgettable day!
- Put on your gear: Lace up your comfortable shoes and wear clothes suitable for the weather
- Dive into activities: Experience energizing movement sessions, connect with local Parkinson’s resources and take part in the uplifting We Move Ceremony, all beginning before our walk kicks off!
- Enjoy the walk: Celebrate community and movement as we move together in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.
Remember, Moving Day happens rain or shine! Be sure to check the weather forecast and prepare accordingly. If there are any changes due to weather, we’ll notify you via email and text and update the Moving Day website.

Location & Parking
The event will be held at Lincoln Park Grove 2 *NEW LOCATION*, located at 1735 N Stockton Dr, Chicago, IL 60614. There is a parking lot across the street @ 1730 N Stockton Dr (space limited). This is NOT the Zoo parking lot. Please find a volunteer after the event to get your parking voucher, which will discount the parking to $10. The venue is also accessible via public transportation.
For those who need extra assistance, there is a handicapped drop off area on the east side of Stockton, adjacent to the event footprint.
Check-In/Registration
Check-in opens at 9:00 am. Stop by the check-in area to get your event program, drop off donations and pick up your Moving Day Rewards card, if eligible. We strongly recommend making online donations before the event. Remember, all participants must register in advance at MovingDayChicago.org.
Let us know you’re coming! Download the new Fundraise for Parkinson’s App and check in the day before so we know to expect you. You’ll still stop by the Registration tent upon arrival.

11:30 am: Passport Challenge Winner Announced
12:00 pm: Event Closes
Walk Route
The Moving Day Walk is for participants of all ages and abilities: 1/4-mile and 2-mile options. Click HERE for the 1/4 mile walk map and click HERE for the 2-mile walk map.
Restrooms
Port-o-lets will be available onsite.
Refreshments
Bottled water and light refreshments will be provided.
Pets
We ask that you leave pets at home for our walkers’ safety.
Donations
Drop off cash and checks at the check-in area. Credit card donations can be made online or via the NEW Fundraise for Parkinson’s Moving Day app. You can also mail checks with a note including the participant’s name to ensure proper credit.

Moving Day Rewards
Participants who raise $100+ receive a Moving Day T-shirt. Check out additional rewards here. Pick up T-shirts and other rewards at the Rewards Tent. Participants who raise $1,000+ will receive the All Star Mover Quarter Zip Sweatshirt after the event.
Stop by the registration tent to get a coupon for 2 free tickets to see Paul Farahvar at the Laugh Factory. $10 will be donated to the Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day for each flyer that is redeemed.
