The Moving Day Event will take place rain or shine. If cancellation of the event is warranted due to dangerous weather conditions, announcements will be made on the event day at the event site. The event will not be canceled in advance. All decisions regarding cancellation will be made on site.
The Moving Day Chicago walk course is a 2-mile walk through beautiful Lincoln Park. Enjoy views of the zoo, lagoon, Lake Michigan and Chicago’s impressive skyline. A short half-mile course will be offered as well.
There are two parking lots near the Moving Day Chicago event site as well as limited street parking.
The Chicago History Museum parking lot is located at 1730 N. Stockton Drive (North of LaSalle Street).
The Lincoln Park Zoo parking lot entrance is located on Fullerton Ave. and Cannon Street. If you park in the Lincoln Park Zoo lot you will want to park closer to the lot’s exit after passing the zoo to be near the Moving Day Event space.
Our committee is working to arrange for discount parking fees at both parking locations and information will be updated on this page if discounted rates are negotiated.
