What to Expect at Moving Day
Get ready for an inspiring and unforgettable day!
- Put on your gear: Lace up your comfortable shoes and wear clothes suitable for the weather
- Dive into activities: Experience energizing movement sessions, connect with local Parkinson’s resources and take part in the uplifting We Move Ceremony, all beginning before our walk kicks off!
- Enjoy the walk: Celebrate community and movement as we move together in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.
Remember, Moving Day happens rain or shine! Be sure to check the weather forecast and prepare accordingly. If there are any changes due to weather, we’ll notify you via email and text and update the Moving Day website.

Location & Parking
The event will be held at The Sound – Rogers – O’Brien Amphitheater – 3081 Olympus Blvd, Coppell, TX 75019. Multiple parking lots are available on site and accessible parking is available in all lots. All parking is free.
Check-In/Registration
Check-in opens at 9:00 am. Stop by the check-in area to get your event program, drop off donations and pick up your Moving Day Rewards card, if eligible. We strongly recommend making online donations before the event. Remember, all participants must register in advance at MovingDayDFW.org.
Let us know you’re coming! Download the new Fundraise for Parkinson’s App and check in the day before so we know to expect you. You’ll still stop by the Registration tent upon arrival.

9:00 AM: Venue opens for parking; registration and check-in open
9:15 AM: Sponsor and Vendor tables open
10:00 AM: We Move #1 (movement activity)
10:15 AM: We Move #2 (movement activity)
10:30 AM: We Move Ceremony
10:40 AM: Walkers meet at the Start Line
10:45 AM: Walk Begins!
11:00 AM: We Move #3 (movement activity)
11:30 AM: Closing Ceremony
Walk Route
The Moving Day Walk is for participants of all ages and abilities: 1 mile option and to achieve 1 mile it will be 5 laps around the amphitheater. Paths are fully paved. Click HERE for the walk route map.
Restrooms
Restrooms will be available, including ADA-accessible restrooms, in The Sound Building and on the left when looking towards the Amphitheater before you get to the Rodeo Goat Restaurant. There will be signs marking these locations.
Refreshments
There will be refreshment tents on site with water and participants are welcome to bring in their own water as well.
Pets
Dogs on short leashes are welcome to join you on Moving Day.
Donations
Drop off cash and checks at the check-in area. Credit card donations can be made online or via the NEW Fundraise for Parkinson’s Moving Day app. You can also mail checks with a note including the participant’s name to ensure proper credit.

Moving Day Rewards
Participants who raise $100+ receive a Moving Day T-shirt. Check out additional rewards here. Pick up T-shirts and other rewards at the Rewards Tent. Participants who raise $1,000+ will receive the All Star Mover Quarter Zip Sweatshirt after the event.
