What to Expect at Moving Day
Participants are invited to put on their Moving Day gear and join us in person at Moving Day DFW. This year’s event will put our community’s energy on full display as we celebrate movement together. Bring your friends and family to exercise, learn about Parkinson’s resources, take part in our signature We Move Ceremony, and, of course, enjoy the Moving Day Walk. You don’t want to miss the inspiring day we have planned for you!
Weather
Moving Day DFW will take place rain or shine. Check the weather forecast to prepare accordingly. Should conditions warrant any change, we will announce it via email and the Moving Day website.
Registration
We ask that everyone who attends Moving Day register at MovingDayDFW.org before the event. When you arrive, pick up your walk bib, I Move Ribbon, and Moving Day Passport at check in.
Program & Activities
To begin the walk, you’ll experience a powerful We Move Ceremony at 9:45 am that will unite us in our commitment to move against Parkinson’s. Every registered participant will get an I Move Ribbon representing your connection to Parkinson’s disease. You can use the ribbon during the ceremony and the We Move Exercises on the Moving Day Stage.
Schedule of Events
8:30 am: Moving Day Registration, Activities, and Exercise Demos Begin– please arrive at this time
9:45 am: We Move Ceremony begins, followed by the Moving Day Walk
10:15 am: We Move Exercise Demos Continue
11:00 am: Closing Remarks & Passport Challenge Winner Announced
Location & Parking
Moving Day DFW will take place at UT Arlington’s Maverick Stadium located at 1307 W Mitchell St, Arlington, TX 76013. Free parking will be available in the stadium lot towards W. Mitchell St. Parking spaces will be reserved for people with handicap placards; please note that the accessible ramp is located on the west side of the stadium. There will be directional signage as you approach the parking area.

Walk Route
The Moving Day walk is for participants of all ages and all abilities. Our walk route will be on the stadium track. Here are the number of laps for common walk distances:
1/4 mile, 1 lap
1 km, 2.5 laps
1 mile, 4 laps
5 km, 12.5 laps
Health & Safety
Our priority is the safety of all participants, volunteers, sponsors, vendors and staff. First aid will be available near the Registration Tent.
Restrooms
Portable restrooms and ADA-compliant portable restrooms will be located on-site.
Refreshments
Bottled water and breakfast snacks will be available on-site.
Pets
The venue has a no-pet policy. Please leave your furry friends at home.
Donations
You can drop off cash and check donations at the Registration Tent. If you prefer to make a credit card donation, please do so on the Moving Day website or the Parkinson’s Moving Day app before Moving Day. If you want check donations to appear in your fundraising total sooner, use the mobile check deposit feature in the Parkinson’s Moving Day app or mail them to the address below.

Moving Day Rewards
All registered participants who raise $100 or more will receive an exclusive Moving Day T-shirt. Click here to learn more about additional Moving Day Rewards. T-shirts and rewards will be available for pick up day of the event at the Rewards Tent except for the All Star Mover crewneck which will be redeemed and shipped post event to qualifying participants.
