What to Expect at Moving Day
Get ready for a meaningful and energizing experience:
- Put on your gear: Lace up your comfortable shoes and wear clothes suitable for the weather
- Dive into activities: Experience energizing movement sessions, connect with local Parkinson’s resources and take part in the uplifting We Move Ceremony, all beginning before our walk kicks off!
- Enjoy the walk: Celebrate community and movement as we move together in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.
Moving Day takes place rain or shine. Please check the forecast and plan accordingly. If weather-related changes occur, we’ll share updates by email, text and on the Moving Day website.

Location: Knoxville Christian School
Location & Parking
The event will be held at Knoxville Christian School, located at 11549 Snyder Rd, Knoxville, TN 37932. Follow posted directional signage near the parking area.
Festivities will be held in Knoxville Christian School’s high school gym, second building on the right when arriving on campus. You will find plenty of parking around the gym building.

Check-In / Registration
Check-in opens at 9:00. Stop by the registration area to pick up your event program, drop off donations and collect your Moving Day Rewards card if eligible.
We strongly recommend making donations online before event day. All participants must be registered in advance at MovingDayKnoxville.org. You can also help us prepare by downloading the Fundraise for Parkinson’s App before event day to stay up to date with day of event information, and easy communication with your team.

9:30–10:45 am – Explore resources, enjoy activities, connect with the community and join on-stage movement demos
10:45 am – We Move Ceremony
10:55 am – Moving Day Walk Begins
11:30 am – Final Awards at the We Move Stage
Walk Route
Moving Day offers options for all ages and abilities, including longer and shorter routes on the Knoxville Christian School campus.
Restrooms
Restrooms will be available. Bathrooms are located in the gym building.
Refreshments
Bottled water and light refreshments will be available on-site.
Pets
Pets are welcome on the walk route but are not allowed in the gym. Service dogs are welcome in the gym.
Donations
Cash and check donations can be dropped off at the check-in area. Credit card donations may be made online or through the Fundraise for Parkinson’s App.

Moving Day Rewards
Participants who raise $100 or more receive an exclusive Moving Day T-shirt. Additional rewards are available at higher levels. T-shirts and rewards may be picked up at the Rewards Tent.
Participants who raise $1,000 or more will receive the All-Star Mover Full Zip Lightweight Jacket via mail after the event.
