What to Expect at Moving Day
Put on your Moving Day gear and comfortable shoes – it’s time to move! Get ready to exercise, explore Parkinson’s resources, join in the uplifting We Move Ceremony and enjoy the Moving Day Walk. You don’t want to miss out on the inspiring day we have planned for you!
Moving Day will take place rain or shine. Check the weather forecast to prepare accordingly. Should conditions warrant any change, we will announce it via email and the Moving Day website.
Check-In/Registration
Check-in begins at 8:30 am. Visit the check-in/registration area to grab your event program, drop off donations and pick up your Moving Day Rewards card if you’ve earned Moving Day fundraising rewards. We highly encourage online donations before the event. Don’t forget that all participants must register at MovingDaylosangeles.org beforehand.
Schedule of Events
8:30 am: Event begins
9:15 – 9:45 am: We Move exercise demos at the Moving Day Stage
10:00 am: We Move Ceremony begins, followed by the Moving Day Walk
Location & Parking
Moving Day Los Angeles will take place at Los Angeles State Historic Park located at 1245 N. Spring St., Los Angeles, CA 90012. Look for directional signage as you approach the parking area it is the dirt area outside of our event. There will be volunteers to assist you with parking. If you need Handicap parking we have some blocked off inside on the black top available for you.

Walk Route
The Moving Day walk is for participants of all ages and all abilities: 1-mile option and a 5-K option. Click here for the walk route.
Restrooms
Restrooms will be available on site. There are no restrooms provided by the park, our restrooms will be clearly marked Parkinson’s Foundation restrooms.
Refreshments
Enjoy bottled water and light refreshments on-site.
Pets
For everyone’s safety, please leave your pets at home.
Donations
Drop off cash and check donations at the check-in/registration area. Credit card donations can be made online or through the Parkinson’s Moving Day App. You can also mail check donations to the provided address, ensuring to include a note with the participant’s name for proper credit.

Moving Day Rewards
Registered participants who raise $100 or more will receive an exclusive Moving Day T-shirt. More details about additional Moving Day Rewards can be found here. T-shirts and other rewards will be available for pick-up on the event day at the Rewards Tent, except for the All-Star Mover Zip-Up Hoodie Jacket, which will be shipped after the event to qualifying participants.
