What to Expect at Moving Day
Participants are invited to put on their Moving Day gear and join us in person at Moving Day Salt Lake City. This year’s event will put our community’s energy on full display as we celebrate movement together.
Moving Day is more than just a walk! Bring your friends and family to exercise, learn about Parkinson’s resources, take part in our signature We Move Ceremony, and, of course, enjoy the Moving Day Walk. You don’t want to miss the inspiring day we have planned for you!
Moving Day will take place rain or shine. Check the weather forecast to prepare accordingly. Should conditions warrant any change, we will announce it via email and the Moving Day website.

Location & Parking
The event will take place at Liberty Park, located at 600 Harvey Milk Blvd, Salt Lake City, UT 84105. Look for directional signage as you approach the parking area. Enter Liberty Park from the North (900 S) or South (1300 S) and follow directional signs to the East side of the park. Parking is along the interior park road and we will have some reserved and designated handicap spaces as well as a drop-off area right by our Registration and Check-In tent.

Check-In/Registration
Check-in begins at 9:00 am. Visit the check-in/registration area to grab your event program, drop off donations and pick up your Moving Day Rewards card if you’ve earned Moving Day fundraising rewards. We highly encourage online donations before the event. Don’t forget that all participants should register at MovingDaySaltLakeCity.org beforehand.
Schedule of Events
9:00 am: Registration Opens/Event begins
9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Resource Expo, Food truck, Chair Massage
9:30 – 10:15 am: We Move exercise demonstrations at the Moving Day Stage
10:15 am: We Move Ceremony begins, followed by the Moving Day Walk
11:00 am: Chair Yoga
11:30 am: Closing and Prizes
12:00 pm: Event ends

Walk Route
The Moving Day Walk is for participants of all ages and abilities: .24 mile options and a 1.4 mile option.

Restrooms
Restrooms will be available. One ADA accessible porta potty will be at the event site and 2 park restrooms are nearby the event site (indicated on the event site map).
Refreshments
Enjoy bottled water and light refreshments on-site. We will also have Le Crepe D’Or Food Truck at the event with sweet and savory food for purchase. https://lacrepedorut.com/
Pets
Pets must be on a leash and controlled by their owners at all times. Salt Lake City ordinance states that all dogs are required to be on a leash no greater than 6′ in City parks, unless in a designated off-leash area. Ensuring your dog’s leash is not greater than 6′ will prevent dogs from unexpectedly crossing into the path of a bicyclist or roller blader. In Liberty Park, multi-use path users should pay particular attention to the length of their pet’s leash to increase safety for pets and users.
Donations
Drop off cash and check donations at the check-in/registration area. Credit card donations can be made online or through the Parkinson’s Moving Day App. You can also mail check donations to the provided address, ensuring to include a note with the participant’s name for proper credit.

Moving Day Rewards
Registered participants who raise $100 or more will receive an exclusive Moving Day T-shirt. More details about additional Moving Day Rewards can be found here. T-shirts and other rewards will be available for pick-up on the event day at the Rewards Tent, except for the All-Star Mover Zip-Up Hoodie Jacket, which will be shipped after the event to qualifying participants.
