What to Expect at Moving Day
Get ready for an inspiring and unforgettable day!
• Put on your gear: Lace up your comfortable shoes and wear clothes suitable for the weather
• Dive into activities: Experience energizing movement sessions, connect with local Parkinson’s resources and take part in the uplifting We Move Ceremony, all beginning before our walk kicks off!
• Enjoy the walk: Celebrate community and movement as we move together in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.
Weather
Moving Day San Antonio will take place rain or shine. Check the weather forecast to prepare accordingly. Should conditions warrant any change, we will announce it via email and the Moving Day website.

Location & Parking
Moving Day San Antonio will take place at the University of the Incarnate Word’s Benson Stadium, located at 4301 Broadway, San Antonio TX 78209. Parking is free and volunteers will direct you as you approach the parking area.
Enter campus from the main entrance on Broadway and follow signage to Benson Stadium and Ann Barshop Natatorium. There will also be white and teal Moving Day directional arrows posted around campus. Ample parking is available between the Natatorium and tennis courts; please leave the parking area directly adjacent to the stadium clear for emergency access and committee vehicles.
The entry gates open at 8:00 AM for walkers to enter the parking lot. Any walkers arriving prior to 8:00 AM must wait to enter the venue.

Check-In/Registration
Check-in/Registration opens at 8:30 am. We ask that everyone who attends Moving Day register at MovingDaySanAntonio.org before the event, but walkers will be able to register onsite. When you arrive, pick up your walk bib, I Move Ribbon, and Moving Day Passport at check in. We strongly recommend making online donations before the event.
Let us know you’re coming! Download the new Fundraise for Parkinson’s App and check in the day before so we know to expect you. You’ll still stop by the Registration tent upon arrival.”

Walk Route
The Moving Day walk is for participants of all ages and all abilities. The walk takes place around the track; each completion is ¼ mile. The track is accessible to wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers – the entire family is welcome!
Health & Safety
Our priority is the safety of all participants, volunteers, sponsors, vendors and staff. First aid will be available at the Registration Tent.
Restrooms
Restrooms will be available on site in the concession building and will be marked by directional signage. All restrooms are accessible.
Refreshments
Bottled water and granola bars will be available onsite at no cost.
Pets
We love your pets, but they will have to join us at another time. UIW enforces a strict no-pets policy. Certified service animals are the only exception.
Donations
You can drop off cash and check donations at the Registration Tent. If you prefer to make a credit card donation, please do so on the Moving Day website or the Parkinson’s Moving Day app before Moving Day. If you want check donations to appear in your fundraising total sooner, use the mobile check deposit feature in the Parkinson’s Moving Day app or mail them to the address below.

Moving Day Rewards
All registered participants who raise $100 or more will receive an exclusive Moving Day T-shirt. Click here to learn more about additional Moving Day Rewards. T-Shirts and rewards will be available for pick up day-of the event at the Rewards Tent. Participants who raise $1,000+ will receive the All Star Mover Sweatshirt after the event.
Volunteers & Vendors
Please see the event map to find the location of volunteer check-in and volunteer/vendor parking. All volunteers & vendors will enter through the North entrance. Open volunteer shifts are available here.
All vendors must bring wagons or dollies to transport materials from their cars, as they cannot park right next to the exhibit area.
