The countdown is on—Moving Day The Villages, FL is almost here, and we couldn’t be more excited to move with you!

First, a heartfelt thank you. Your support is transforming the lives of people living with Parkinson’s disease, bringing hope, strength and resources to those who need it most.

What to Expect at Moving Day

Get ready for an inspiring and unforgettable day!

• Put on your gear: Lace up your comfortable shoes and wear clothes suitable for the weather
• Dive into activities: Make sure to visit the 360 Video and selfie photobooth, connect with local Parkinson’s resources and take part in the uplifting We Move Ceremony, all beginning before our walk kicks off!
• Enjoy the walk: Celebrate community and movement as we move together in the fight against Parkinson’s disease.
• Try our demos: Walking soccer (view only), tabletop tennis, Zumba, Rock Steady Boxing and more!

Remember, Moving Day happens rain or shine! Be sure to check the weather forecast and prepare accordingly. If there are any changes due to weather, we’ll notify you via email and text and update the Moving Day website.

Location: The Villages Polo Club

Location & Parking

The event will be held at The Villages Polo Club, located at 700 Buena Vista Blvd, The Villages, FL 32162. The main entrance will be at the traffic signal on Buena Vista Blvd, please follow parking signs. All vehicles will be directed by attendants to SE corner of the property. There will be a designated space for golf carts near the car lot. Handicap parking will be available. Golf carts will shuttle guests from the parking lot to the pavilion if assistance is needed.

Check-In/Registration

Check-in opens at 9:00 am in the South Lane. Stop by the check-in area to get your event program, drop off donations and pick up your Moving Day Rewards card, if eligible. If you have already registered, please check-in at the Already-Registered table for expedited entry. We strongly recommend making online donations before the event. Remember, all participants must register in advance at MovingDayTheVillagesFL.org. 

*No walk-ins will be allowed, must arrive by golf cart or vehicle.

Let us know you’re coming! Download the new Fundraise for Parkinson’s App and check in the day before so we know to expect you. You’ll still stop by the Registration tent upon arrival.

Schedule of Events

9:00 am: Parking/Registration Opens, explore resources, enjoy activities and connect with the community
10-10:45 am: Join on-stage exercise demos
No Entry to Parking Lot after 10:30 AM to secure walk route
10:45 am: We Move Ceremony
11:00 am: Moving Day Walk Begins
12:00 pm: Closing Remarks and passport raffle drawing

Walk Route

The Moving Day Walk is for participants of all ages and abilities: 1-mile option and a ½ mile option.  Click HERE for the walk route map.

Restrooms

Restrooms will be available under the pavilion.

Refreshments

Enjoy bottled water and light refreshments on-site.

Pets

For everyone’s safety, please leave your pets at home.

Photography:

Personal photography is allowed, in addition there will be an on-site professional photographer capturing moments throughout the day. To request pictures, please contact awatkins@parkinson.org.

Donations

Drop off cash and checks at the check-in area. Credit card donations can be made online or via the NEW Fundraise for Parkinson’s Moving Day app. You can also mail checks with a note including the participant’s name to ensure proper credit.

Moving Day Rewards

Participants who raise $100+ receive a Moving Day T-shirt. Check out additional rewards here. Pick up T-shirts and other rewards at the Rewards Tent. Participants who raise $1,000+ will receive the All Star Mover Quarter Zip Fleece after the event.
