I am participating in Moving Day® Atlanta, benefiting the Parkinson’s Foundation, on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Piedmont Park Promenade, and I would like you all to join me!!
Why did I choose the Parkinson’s Foundation?
Parkinson’s is something I basically was raised with. Living for 19 years with Dada in the room downstairs, I learned a lot about the ups and downs of the disease. Thinking back on it, the only way our family was so successful with taking care of Dada is because we did it together. But not everyone has as great of a family as Dada did, and that’s where the foundation comes in. The Parkinson’s Foundation provides a community of support to give patients and families the resources and help they need to live well with Parkinson’s.
Why is the Moving Day Event important to me?
The event is really a lot of fun for everyone, with a variety of movement activities including the main walk, yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more. Ultimately the event celebrates the importance of movement in our lives, and I think it is a great way to remember Dada!
Thank you in advance for all of your support that will help continue the work of the Parkinson’s Foundation, and I hope you can come to the Moving Day® Atlanta event.
