Matt’s and my dear friend, Anna: Diagnosed with Early Onset PD at the age of 38, Anna Grill pushed forward balancing her busy life as a full-time career woman, wife and mother. She kept her condition mostly to herself until June of 2017 when she left her 27-year career in sales management to focus on managing her condition and well-being. She learned about Parkinson’s Foundation in 2018, signed up for the DC Moving Day Walk and agreed to serve as Emcee and Chair. In 45 days, she became the highest individual fundraiser at that event, raising over $10,000 for the cause. She is returning as the 2019 Walk Chair and was recently honored with the Foundation’s “Rising Star” Award at the National Volunteer Leader Summit in CA. Anna will turn 50 this May and is grateful that 12 years into her diagnosis she is thriving. She enjoys boxing, volunteering and spending time with family, friends, and her two goldendoodles.
