San Francisco Ballet School’s Dance Class for People with Parkinson’s is celebrating 7 years of dancing together in SF Ballet studios (and on Zoom) and is excited to join Moving Day again this year. We say Movement is the Medicine for People with Parkinson’s and in our dance classes we emphasize large balletic movements and integrate modern, folk, and social dance. Classes are designed to honor PD-specific concerns such as balance, flexibility, coordination, isolation, and depression.

We are grateful to the Parkinson's Foundation who through a community service grant helps support our classes. With their support we dance together weekly (Tuesdays on Zoom and Saturdays at the Studios) and bring dance to where people with Parkinson’s congregate and reside.
