Why create a team?
Each walker that registers for Moving Day® Twin Cities helps the Parkinson’s voice to be heard in the community louder than ever before! The core of this voice, and often the most personal, comes from Friends and Family Teams which are made up of individuals that come together to support a friend or family member who has been affected by Parkinson’s disease.
Although we reference these teams as ‘Friends and Family’ they can, and commonly do, include neighbors, community organizations, support groups, church groups, civic groups and schools. Importantly, by registering a Friends and Family team you are helping raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease and funds to improve the lives of those living with the disease day to day.
Getting Started
To begin, you can start a team or find a team to join by selecting the Register button at the top of the page. If you register as a Team Captain you will receive additional support from the Parkinson’s Foundation to assist with recruitment and fundraising efforts. The local Moving Day® Event Coordinator/Organizer can help with questions you may have or if you need help with your team.
Matching Gifts?
